1. El Llac de la Creueta del Coll
This gorgeous swimming pool is built in what was once a quarry. Its semi-circle shaped structure is surrounded by palm trees, making it seem like a tropical oasis. It’s ideal for kids as the water is shallow throughout.

2. Parc Esportiu Llobregat
The is the perfect place to catch some rays while the kids splash away. Designed by the famous Portuguese architect Álvaro Siza Vieira, Parc Esportiu Llobregat is surrounded by a grassy area instead of sand, and is a delightful spot for a picnic on a sunny summer’s day.

3. Centre Esportiu Municipal Parc de Ciutadella
Come to this sports centre to cool off after a morning’s sightseeing. The outdoor pool features lounge chairs and a fence enclosure, and there’s also an indoor pool, gym, sauna, and fitness room. Work up a sweat then take a dip!

4. Piscina Municipal de Montjuïc
Originally designed for the 1992 Olympics, Montjuïc Municipal Pool has two Olympic-size outdoor pools for swimming and diving. There are great views of Plaça Espanya and all the way to the hills that frame the city.

5. Jardins de la Torre de Les Aigües
This old water tower turned swimming pool is situated within a delightful park and is one of the most famous swimming pools in Barcelona. The water is shallow, which is ideal for kids, and it’s the perfect place for a family picnic after the kids enjoy playing on its sandy “beach.”
