The Fundació Suñol is a private, non-profit organisation which has put Josep Suñol’s contemporary art collection on display to the public. It also runs a project which encourages the production and diffusion of avant-garde art. The Foundation has a two-pronged approach. Firstly it aims to show the entire collection on an on-going rotational basis, with 100 words presented at a time, which are changed every 6 months. They are presented in different formats, from series that are chronological to exhibitions with dialogues and interactions between the different pieces in the collection.
The second part of the gallery, Nivell Zero, takes place in a different physical and temporal space and accommodates all kinds of practical and theoretical activities based on art that is firmly committed to the 21st century.
The Fundació Suñol’s adds to Barcelona’s rich cultural scene and aims to offer a new platform of knowledge.
