ONAC on Passeig de Joan de Borbó, previously known as Habana, has rebranded itself into a promising alternative club night come restaurant come cocktail bar. Still relatively unknown amongst the clubbing sphere of Barcelona, it is definitely moving up the ranks, playing host to club nights, live acts and quality restaurant food. During the refurbishment the venue had a brand spanking new new sound system of top quality, on Thursday’s ONAC stages a collaboration of DJs, Fridays live acts take the floor followed by underground and funk music and Saturdays are all thing Pop, ONAC really is the epitome of diversity, its definitely worth checking out on which ever night suits you. Not only a club, ONAC doubles up as a beach side restaurant with a perfectly situated terrace overlooking Plaça del Mar and the beach.
ONAC regularly hosts the club night, JUICE, a popular urban night in Barcelona running from midnight to 5:30am. Every JUICE night premiers a different music genre, from hip-hop and noughties, to disco, dancehall and funk, it really is an eclectic explosion of music and offers something for everyone, this alongside free entry until 1am means the night really fills up quickly. If you don’t quite make the 1am free guest list entry, you pay €5 or €10 after 2am which comes with a free drink, so it wont go breaking the bank. Glove Party is another regular night at ONAC, which provides endless disco tunes and frivolous fun, with some props floating about, and people adding glitter and fancy dress to their outfits, it offers a new party experience, deterring away from the norm in Barcelona.
