The Olympic and Sports Museum Joan Antonio Samaranch opened its doors in Barcelona in 2007 and is managed by the Barcelona Olympic Foundation. With advanced technology, interactive exhibitions and multimedia, the museum provides a fun time for people of all ages and educates you about the world of sports.
Some of the attractions in the museum include simulators allowing you to run against former Olympian and gold medalist Carl Lewis, an exhibition of Olympic cities from 1992 to 2012 and comparing shoes worn by athletes such as Michael Jordan and Pau Gasol. The museum also hosts various temporary exhibitions about various sports such as tennis, water polo and sports photography.
You can get to the museum by taking the L1 or L3 metro to the Espanya stop or by Buss 55-150. Entrance to the museum is 5,10€ for adults, 3,20€ for students and children under 7 years old free.
