Casa Milà, also known as La Pedrera, was built between 1906 and 1912. Pedro Milà, a wealthy businessman, had appointed architect Antoni Gaudi to construct the apartment building and is now one of Gaudi´s more famous works.
La Pedrera features a wave like exterior with a smooth stone texture and iron balconies designed by architect Joseph Maria Jujol. The building´s interior is just as fascinating with furniture designed by Gaudi reflecting modernism and the roof offering views off the city- along with twisted chimneys and other interesting features giving visitors the chance to witness Gaudi´s greatness.
The Casa Milà tour allows you to walk through various parts of the building and inside you can find exhibitions, information on the building, artifacts and other items that inspired Gaudi. Visitors have the option to explore the building by day or by night offering two different perspectives of the landmark. You can purchase a day ticket for €20,50 and a night ticket for €30.
