Magic Nights at Casa Batlló
9 June, 2016 - 24 September, 2016
| €29Event Navigation
There’s no doubt about it, Antoni Gaudí’s Casa Batllò is one of the most sophisticated and enchanting buildings on the opulent Passeig de Gràcia.
This is the perfect place to discover the vibrant Modernist chapter of Barcelona’s history. Your curiosity will be rewarded as this unique house, full of colour and unusual perspectives reveals its many secrets. Its design is unlike anything you will have seen before, with intriguing materials and design ideas based on the natural world to explore in every corner. Known to locals as the “casa dels ossos”, or “house of bones,” for the shape of its outside façade, its scaly roof is said to represent the legendary dragon slain by St Jordi, patron of Catalonia.
Casa Batlló takes on a new life after dark with the alluring “Magic Nights on the Dragon Roof Terrace” returning for the 6th year. As the sunset sky lowers its darkening curtain over night time Barcelona, the shadows and fading light catch the details in Gaudí’s carefully sculptured terrace. Evening visits are a more intimate affair, with music and drinks to set the mood for a truly magical and elegant night.
Talented musicians perform in the open-air terrace of this UNESCO World Heritage site, from the classical Spanish guitar of the Dúo Aranjuez, to soul, pop and RnB with Monica Guech. Susana Sheiman presents a fusion of swing, soul and Latin rhythms, whilst Olga Ponce seduces her public with a classical and flamenco repertoire. Other solo and group performers also take part in these summer sessions, until the 24th September.
Two entries are available: you can choose to take a full tour (36€) with a Virtual Reality video-guide from 20:00, or come straight to the concert at 21:00 (29€). Both options include two drinks, from cava and cocktails to beer and soft drinks. Book online for an unforgettable night out at Casa Batlló in Barcelona. Passeig de Gràcia, 43
