If there is something that those who love fashion are all waiting for, it is summer sales. With up to 70% discount on prices, we will never miss that for the world. This year in Barcelona, “las rebajas de verano” start on July 1st and end on August 31st. From Zara and Mango to H&M, and in small shops located in the heart of Barcelona, we would like to share some of our favourite spots to go shopping this summer.
Barcelona is a shoppers’ paradise! You’ll find a huge variety of shops, from international clothing chains to local boutiques. The best of the sales is during the first 3 weeks in July when there is still a wide variety of stock available, but you’ll have one entire month to find what you want, so no need to rush!
Where to Go
Every neighbourhood of Barcelona is different and, so are their shops. Passeig De Gràcia is the place to go if you’re looking for classic high street stores such as Zara, Mango, H&M, & Other Stories and Puma, while discovering Gaudí’s magnificent buildings La Pedrera and Casa Batlló. Passeig De Gràcia also has many luxury brands such as Louis Vuitton, Prada and Valentino where it’s more difficult to find good bargains.
Just off Plaça Catalunya, Avingunda del Portal de l’Àngel is another good spot for shops like Bershka, Pull&Bear, Footlocker, Oysho and Kiko.
If you like more local shops, you’ll find classy boutiques in the Born district and Gràcia. El Raval is for you if you are keen on vintage clothes; head to Carrer de la Riera Baixa and to Carrer del Tallers.
Shopping Centres
Apart from the many shops in the city, there are several shopping centres where you’ll find all the mainstream international brands. Located in Poblenou, close to the beach and with more than 185 shops, Diagonal Mar is Catalonia’s biggest shopping centre, and home to one of the first Primark shops in Barcelona. Other good shopping centres include Las Arenas in Plaça Espanya, La Maquinista in Sant Andreu, Maremagnum close to Port Vell and Les Gloriès. These are all great places for good bargains during the sales.
Outside the City
Located 30 minutes away by car or bus from Barcelona, La Roca Village is the place to go to purchase luxury brand clothing, shoes and jewellery at amazing prices. You’ll find brands like L’Occitane, Lacoste, Maje, Desigual, Calvin Klein and many others. As its name suggests, each house of the village is a brand store and luckily for you the sales are there all year round!
Toward the end of August there is a noticeable reduction in the merchandise left for sale but we bet you can’t wait that long!

⦁ Think about what you really need (although we know it is usually impossible!)
⦁ Be careful with the quality products (some of them might have been damaged after a fight over it…)
⦁ Keep the receipt ; the returns policy is the same as usual
