CCCB showcases Making Africa, a contemporary collection of work from over 120 African artists and creators, aiming to portray and explain how design can fuel economic and political changes across the continent, illustrating Africa as a ‘continent under construction’, emphasising its potential future possibilities over its current and historic problems.

Making Africa presents a new portrayal of Africa: inviting visitors and viewers to value Africa from an alternative perspective, showcased by artists originating from and often working in Africa, addressing a global audience with more local issues. Working across various disciplines with a variety of different medias and connecting the technological revolution with the analog day, these artists highlight their relationship to society, and their stance regarding the impending future.
